I recently had the incredible opportunity to submit a verse for the "Lit a Verse" competition at Walmart. The theme for the competition was "Inspire Inclusion," and I couldn't help but be inspired by the momentous occasions that surrounded me. Not only was it Women's History Month, but the Women's RCB team had also just won the IPL trophy for the first time ever. These events served as the catalyst for the verse I submitted, and I am beyond thrilled to share that it was selected as one of the top three entries for the final round.

In the realm of cricket's fervent chase, Where legends carve their hallowed space,
Team women RCB, in the grand fray, Emerge triumphant, in the IPL's array.
In this edition, their prowess shines, Their victory echoes through the lines,
For too long, the men's team sought the prize, Yet it eluded them, despite their tries.
Virat, Gayle, ABD & more, they boast,
Stars who've shone, but still, the cost of victory seemed too steep a climb,
Untill the Elysse, Smriti & Richa showed, it's about time.
Had inclusion reigned from the start,
More triumps would've graced the chart, For talent knows no bounds, no gender lines,
In unity, victory forever shines!
