I'm writing today in recommendation of Gaurav Dubey for any position that needs someone who can 'Dance with a Problem.' Gaurav introduced this phrase to me in passing one day and I haven't been able to put it down, but most assuredly it describes his thoughtful and downright creative approach to Product Management.

I met Gaurav when I led the Walmart FinTech Tax and Risk enterprise B2B and B2C Product Group - supporting all of Walmart and Sam's US domestic, as well as international market, tax and risk solutions. Back to dancing with a problem - Gaurav takes the time to frame a problem and it's different possibilities, insights, and dilemmas, before moving to solution conversations. I say conversations quite literally because his approaches begin there - building consensus, looking for weak points, developing a strong path forward toward an outcome, not focusing on shipping the next feature. He balances this against working with engineers who are seeking to 'ship' and still develops innovations and new approaches to old problems in a timely manner. The amount of trust built with customers becomes clear in their advocacy for his approach while still moving at an engineering speed.
